Firmware Location of binary files (*.bin) used for updating the PCAN-Diag firmware.

Please note: If you use a firmware less than 1.8.0, you must upgrade to version 1.8.0 before installing a firmware 1.8.x.
Help Files of the PCAN-Diag device help (*.dhp). It is advisable to update these files in the corresponding directory on the PCAN-Diag in connection with a firmware update.
Projects Projects can be created with the Windows program PCAN-Diag Editor. This allows the device to be conveniently preconfigured for various applications. When transferring a project to the PCAN-Diag, a new subdirectory with the name of the project is created in the Projects directory. At delivery this directory contains the Default project.

The Default project contains the project file (*. dpf) and the splash screen which is displayed after switching on the device.

  • PCAN-Symbol Editor 3 (PcanSEdt.exe) - Software for creating symbol files
  • PEAK-Converter (PEAK-Converter.exe) - Software for converting a recorded binary trace file (*.btr) to another format
